The artist depicts interesting aspects of North Caucasian highlander culture and folklore: A man is shown roasting shashlik (extreme left); a dance party in full swing; men having their meals on colourful Caucasian rugs, etc.
Henryk Hryniewski (1869-1937) was a Polish-Georgian painter and illustrator. He was the son of a Polish exile in Georgia. Few of Hryniewski’s original paintings have survived, as he and his works were victims of Stalin’s purges.Источник
