Ane is a traditional three-legged table near the Circassians.

Until now it has not lost its importance as an integral part of the interior in many Adyghe houses. Ane figures in the ancient epic about heroes-sledges and other Adyghe legends as a sacred image of a house, a family, hospitality and an object endowed with magical powers. The ancient Adygs worshiped the Sun and tried to shape the most important objects of life in the form of a circle. A low round Adyghe table symbolized the proximity to both the Sun and the Earth.
Ane is a symbol of the unity and equality of all those seated after him. The meal behind him united people, made them like-minded people. In the past, a table ane was perceived by foreign travelers as a "tray on legs." And indeed, ane was served (already made) already covered, while different dishes were served on individual tables according to the order of priority. This table is very practical: it is compact, light and surprisingly stable on its 3 legs, it practically does not overturn, even if it is accidentally touched.
The significance of this roundtable for the Adygeyan culture is emphasized by the fact that ane with bread and salt is depicted on the state emblem of the Republic of Adygea.
